Whether you are a couple, a family, a group of friends or even an army ready to celebrate a birthday or a graduation, La Prosciutteria Torino is always ready to welcome you all in its large outdoor area with more than 100 seats right in the heart of Turin’s nightlife that is Piazza Vittorio Veneto… and right here you can enjoy our famous cutting boards and our famous schiacciate with a view of the spectacular Mole di Torino!
But do we want to talk about the PORCHETTA DRIVE?!?! As we like to call it… that is, the little window that overlooks the square for those who (like us Tuscans) love to walk through the streets of the city eating a schiacciata filled with the QUEEN of street food and also our workhorse! Porchetta del Chianti made according to the traditional recipe, cooked in a wood oven and strictly cut with a knife… there’s no need to add anything else!
The interior of the place is also crazy, the wine shelves are made with olive crates from a farm in Chianti, the wall coverings come from the windows of Tuscan farmhouses. We even used the headboards of old beds from a villa outside Florence to decorate the main room. Note the red wall of the place with 150 wooden lasts used to make shoes by hand from an old shoe factory from the 60s in Montecatini Terme that also worked for Chanel and Dior… can you find the smallest one? And don’t forget to stop by the bathroom too! The walls are covered with three different late 19th century floors recovered from a villa by the sea in the province of Livorno, while the ceiling is covered with old printers’ drawers.
We couldn’t miss this city that has been a “place to be” for years in the world of food and technology, tourism and sport. A place experienced above all by young people with a cheerful and party spirit that we share and that made us feel at home right away!
