The place is really beautiful, with our six windows overlooking the square and on the corner on Via Borsieri it cannot go unnoticed. Not to mention the outdoor area that enjoys a crazy view of the square.
Inside, just look around and you take a dip into the past that has the flavor of a Tuscan tavern, like all our products that you can admire from the counter.
Even our furniture has a Tuscan flavor… and here our “creative recovery” comes into play since all the pieces and objects that you find inside come from important historic villas, ancient farmhouses, farms and noble houses that then go to make up our furnishings. This is why we say “always the same and always different”, because this is the origin but the pieces are always unique; it depends on what we recover, such as the reclaimed tables made with 19th century shutters, the cinema chairs, the boiserie on the walls, the coverings made with late 19th century cement tiles recovered from a noble villa in Pistoia, a collection of 12 ancient sewing machines on the walls, including a very rare “Stucchi” and many other objects. In total we can accommodate about 90 people inside and about 100 outside.
Now we come to the important part of La Prosciutteria, our gastronomic offer: first of all our Cavallo di Battaglia, the mixed platter of cured meats, cheeses, crostini and jams, then moving on to our stuffed Tuscan schiacciate, salads, carpaccio, fondues and the famous Chianti porchetta, plus obviously some traditional Tuscan hot dishes.
Finally, we remind you that here too, as in all our restaurants, it is possible to do the shopping and take all the products tasted like an old but modern “grocery store”.
Located in a strategic position with six large windows overlooking the square and the corner of Via Borsieri, La Prosciutteria in Isola is a presence that’s immediately noticeable: bright, open, infused with the life of the neighborhood. It’s the kind of place where you stop by and find yourself staying, because the atmosphere is just right: informal yet refined, lively but never chaotic. Those looking for where to have aperitivo in Milano and want a venue with personality without artifice will find a rare balance here: the city in front, conviviality inside, and that sense of welcome that doesn’t need explaining. After a walk through the streets of Isola or returning from the center, the location is convenient and natural: you arrive, choose a spot, and Milan changes its pace.
The terrace is one of the reasons why this address is often associated with the best aperitivos in Milan: overlooking the square, it becomes a small stage from which to observe the city while sharing a charcuterie board or schiacciata. It’s the ideal space in warmer seasons, when aperitivo moves outdoors and the evening stretches out without hurry. La Prosciutteria’s terrace represents an exclusive space for outdoor aperitivos, combining comfort and evocative scenery. This outdoor area expands the venue’s capacity, allowing it to accommodate up to 100 people, offering an outdoor experience without sacrificing the warm and welcoming atmosphere typical of the establishment.
Entering La Prosciutteria in Isola means taking a leap into an authentic Tuscan imaginary, made of weathered wood, artisanal details, and objects that seem to have always had a place there. It’s not a “theme,” not a reconstruction: it’s a true story, built over time thanks to a precise idea—creative reclamation—that makes every space unique. Every piece of furniture at La Prosciutteria tells a story of tradition and creative recovery, from tables made with antique nineteenth-century shutters to cinema chairs and original cement tiles, sourced from historic villas and noble houses in Tuscany. This uniqueness makes the venue a timeless environment, where past and present blend harmoniously.
Here, the furnishing is part of the experience: tables born from nineteenth-century shutters, cinema seats, wood paneling, and reclaimed materials that come from historic villas, farmhouses, and country residences. In this way, tradition doesn’t remain an abstract idea: it becomes matter, atmosphere, warmth. Among the most striking details are the late 19th-century cement tiles, salvaged from a noble villa in Pistoia: an element that gives character without weighing down the space, making the ensemble coherent with the “Tuscan tavern” spirit but in an urban key.
Your gaze often stops on the walls, because here the eye always finds something: a composition, an object, a trace. Among the most iconic things is the collection of 12 sewing machines on display, with a special presence: the extremely rare Stucchi. These are details that speak of craftsmanship and artisanship, giving the venue that flavor of a lived-in workshop, never standardized. The twelve sewing machines displayed on the walls, including the extremely rare Stucchi, and the original wood paneling give the environment an authentic and intimate charm, evoking Tuscan artisan tradition with a touch of elegance and domestic warmth. It’s this mix of vintage and modern elements that makes La Prosciutteria an exclusive and dynamic place.
If the atmosphere wins you over at first glance, the cuisine confirms everything at first taste. Here, aperitivo isn’t a side note: it’s a central moment, built around typical products and simple but substantial pairings. It’s the idea of aperitivo with typical products, done well, with no shortcuts.
The heart of the offering is the charcuterie boards: generous, spectacular, designed to sit at the center of the table and start the conversation. Selected cured meats and cheeses, crostini, preserves, and small accompaniments that complete the journey. It’s a formula that works because it’s straightforward: you share clear, authentic flavors without needing to complicate things. The mixed charcuterie board represents the gastronomic essence of La Prosciutteria, with a careful selection of high-quality cured meats and cheeses accompanied by fragrant crostini and artisanal preserves, all products from Tuscan culinary tradition. This offering is perfect for an aperitivo rich in genuine flavors.
The selection focuses on recognizability: cured meats, cheeses, schiacciate, and specialties tied to the Tuscan territory, with an eye toward Chianti and tradition. The result is a “full” aperitivo, where quality is felt and simplicity becomes a value. If you’re looking for cured meat and cheese boards in Milan that truly have character, you’re in the right place.
The beauty is being able to choose: a table inside, among wood and period details, or with the square in front and the city passing by. It’s a complete experience that combines reclaimed design, taste, and sociability naturally—without having to “create” the atmosphere: it’s already there.
For an unforgettable aperitivo experience in Milan, La Prosciutteria offers a simple and fast reservation service, with flexible hours and the possibility of organizing private or group events, always guaranteeing a welcoming environment and products of the highest quality, perfect for every occasion. If you’re planning an outing with friends, an event, or an informal dinner, the recommendation is to book especially during peak times. Alternatively, you can also stop by just for a shared charcuterie board or a quick schiacciata: here, aperitivo is a ritual, but without rigidity.
We don’t call them “customers,” but welcome guests, and everyone is welcome in here: from the high-ranking notary to the penniless student; from the straight to the gay; from the carnivore to the vegan to the celiac; from the Italian to the foreigner we welcome everyone–even the Pisans!
