Where to have an aperitif in Florence

La Prosciutteria di Firenze was born right here: in Via de’ Neri, 54rosso. The one in Florence was the first to open in 2012 thanks to its proximity to our company in Montespertoli which is only 25 km away. A point of sale, a shop, a Chianti countryside restaurant in the heart of the city! Via de’ Neri has increasingly become the street of “street food”, a modernist term for what for our grandparents was simply “bread, wine and ham” A small, crowded, pleasantly chaotic shop: but it is beautiful this way and must remain that way. When people tell us “congratulations, well done, you had a great idea, you really invented something great” we simply reply that we didn’t invent anything, it’s the others who have forgotten everything! Once upon a time, all wine shops and taverns were like ours, they had delicious products grown personally or locally, reasonable prices, high quality, a family atmosphere, casual and without frills!
We have about 35 seats and a city that is an open-air museum for eating while walking. If you want to treat yourself when you pass through Florence, and avoid the usual tourist traps or the many “paninari, vinai, vinaini, vinaucci, bruschetterie, focaccerie” that pass themselves off as authentic Florentine and then sell industrial junk that comes from Mars… well… then come to us! Finally, we remind you that here too, as in all our places, it is possible to do the shopping and take home wines, preserves and all the products tasted like an old but modern “grocery store”.
