Massa – Crudi and Bollicine
Via Gerolamo Guidoni, 23/A
From Monday to Sunday 10:30-23:00
The city center of Massa is a small natural stage which in many ways makes it very similar to a film set to visit on foot with the Malaspina Castle which dominates and controls the whole city from above. Large spaces, portals, lots and lots of marble, architecture from different eras and two splendid squares, Piazza Aranci and Piazza Mercurio. Right in the street that connects the two city hubs is our restaurant, a gem born from the adaptation of an old grocery shop.
As soon as you enter, you will immediately notice the ancient and spectacular marble counter that we have adapted and continue to use (taking it apart would have been a sacrilege!). The restaurant is a warm and enveloping environment with its scarlet walls, the chandeliers made with fabrics and bicycle wheels, the statues, the artistic drawings hanging in the bathroom, the carrara marble shelves that occupy a collection of old sewing and non-sewing machines last, the old vat for desalting the cod adapted to a table. Very pleasant is the convivial table, also in marble which is an extension of the counter and is illuminated from the inside thanks to the low thickness of the polychrome marble of the base and then sofas, sofas, paintings, coffee tables, books and comics. The restaurant therefore accommodates about 35 people inside, which double in summer when we set up the summer outdoor area right in Piazza Mercurio which is the meeting point for those who go out in the evening in Massa.
But what do you eat? All our workhorses are present and therefore in addition to cutting boards, flatbreads, salads, wines by the glass, porchetta and some hot dishes, but being a local of the “Crudi e Bollicine” line you will also have the opportunity to taste fantastic tartare and delicious carpaccio of many different types of meat accompanying them with our bubbles.
Finally, we remind you that here as well as in all our places it is possible to do shopping and take away wines, preserves and all products tasted like an old but modern food “shop”.
