Piazza della vittoria, 5
From Monday to Sunday 11:00-1:00
Piazza della Vittoria is one of the most important squares in the city center together with Della Loggia square on its left side and Piazza Duomo on the back. Built in the twenty years on a project by the famous Piacentini architect, it has classical elements, rich in clear, squared volumes and covered with shiny white marble, with many references to Roman times. Right under the arcades of the square is our store , which enjoys this beautiful view and two important windows with high volumes typical of the period. Entering is like a warm dip in an environment that is a bit of a break with the rest of the context. There is a lot of wood from the walls to the ceiling, the latter is beamed and in some parts is covered with the old window shutters. A large counter opens onto the room, from the ceiling hang cured meats and hams, even on the chandeliers, as in an old Tuscan tavern the tables are made of wood but all different. On the walls you can find historical documents, postcards, vintage photos and then a school blackboard and many curious and particular objects.
You can find here many cold cuts, wines, cheeses, at zero km, a true expression of the territory and you can also taste them on the spot. Informal, young, vibrant, fun, this is La Prosciutteria in Piazza della Vittoria, the vibrant place of Brescia.
